Garage Door, STUCK, and a Play Date

Sammy and I had a play date with Ethan and Jessica (and Cookie) this afternoon. I can't believe that I even made it there seeing that we were trapped in our garage for about 30 minutes before we got to leave :( I went to open the garage door and then "SMACK", "lug lug lug lug", "BOOM" the garage door fell down. I called Joe freaking out telling him "I was supposed to be at Jessica's like NOW and I can't get out". First, he tried to explain how to open it, but then realized that I might now be getting it...so he suggested that I go ask my neighbor to come help, but he wasn't home...so I put on my handyman hat and got all greasy trying to get the dumb door on it's track. So, I say this being SOOOO proud of myself, I got the door back on it's track and viola...open. Just then the FedEx man pulls up and I told him had he come a couple minutes prior he would have heard me yelling for help! He seemed very concerned, but I told him I was exaggerating...however it was HARD work!

So we finally made it to Yuciapa, hurray! Ethan had the coolest pool ever and Sammy was anxious to try it out! We put them in and they did pretty good together...

...until Sammy started to take Ethan's ball :( I do have to say that she did give it back to him very nicely after she was told to share!

Then Ethan had to take a nap so Sammy still played and soaked up the rays! Look at those thighs! I LOVE them!


She ate her strawberries and raspberries in the grass...


...and then had to swim to wash off the mess!

While E slept, she also took a liking to his Radio Flyer Car! She ended up figuring out how to sit on it, but first she sat "like a lady" as Jessica pointed out!


Ethan woke up and we enjoyed some chips, salsa, and guacamole (some of us enjoyed FISHIES in the guac...S) and then tried to take a picture...first attempt with two kids that wanted down...

...and then, a GOOD one, actually! Thanks for the great day Jess, can't wait to do it again!
